According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there were eighteen wrestlers and referees that were originally listed as appearing in the announcements for AAA: Invading NY. All 18 of them were not on the show. LA Park, who was heavily promoted in the advertising, did not appear. According to the report, a total of twenty visas didn’t come through, even though applications were filed months ago.
With that being said, those twenty visas are expected to arrive this week and the wrestlers will be available for AAA’s Los Angeles show on October 13th.
All of the people who worked the AAA: Invading NY event were already regular workers in the United States, meaning they either had visas years ago or were not Mexican. Dave the Clown was the exception, but it’s likely he somehow obtained his visa already.
Amazing Red, Dezmond Xavier and Homicide were also advertised for the event at one point.
