As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano’s contracts with WWE NXT will be expiring in the very near future. WWE officials have been working hard in recent weeks to re-sign them.

According to a report from Fightful, WWE officials began contract extension talks with Johnny Gargano back in October. WWE reportedly wants to keep him onboard and have praised his work with “The Way” faction. They know he’s helped to create new stars for the company. Gargano recently signed a one-week extension that will see him work through the NXT WarGames event this Sunday night. As of this writing, the two sides have not reached a new agreement with only days remaining.

As far as O’Reilly is concerned, WWE officials also want to re-sign him. O’Reilly’s contract will be expiring before the end of the year. There have been ongoing talks between the two sides but nothing has been agreed upon yet. O’Reilly was reportedly said to have been a bit surprised his contract is up so soon as WWE often extends contracts due to injuries, etc. For example, Tomasso Ciampa’s contract was extended due to him taking time off due to an injury.

WWE officials are very well aware of the contract lengths after they looked over them for Pete Dunne and Adam Cole.

Also, Candice LeRae still has a lot of time left on her current WWE contract so she’ll be sticking around for the foreseeable feature.
