Ric Flair has revealed his real name given to him at birth which the two-time WWE Hall of Famer only learned recently.
Flair was born in February 1949 but was abducted from his family as an infant as part of Georgia Tann’s baby-kidnapping operation, which saw infants be sold on the black market.
Ric Flair was adopted by Kathleen Kinsmiller Fliehr and Dr. Richard Reid Fliehr who gave him the name Ric Fliehr, the inspiration for his wrestling name.
Peacock’s new documentary ‘Woooooo! Becoming Ric Flair’ aired this week, during which Flair described himself as a “black market baby.”
Flair announced that his real name is Fred Phillips, something he didn’t know until recently.
The 16-time WWE World Champion will be part of RAW’s 30th-anniversary show next month, and has teased appearing at the WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.
