On July 9, 2021, Jey Uso returned to WWE SmackDown, and both Jimmy and Jey solidified their alliance with Roman Reigns, thus cementing themselves as heels in the process, and reuniting as The Bloodline. This year, Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa found their way to the heel faction with the Irish Superstar also acquiring the title of “Honorary Uce.”
Road Dogg, who returned to WWE as Senior Vice President of Live Events this past August, recently shared his opinion on The Bloodline.
On his “Oh… You Didn’t Know” podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer referred to Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Title reign as “the greatest in a distant history” and labeled The Bloodline as the “best thing” in professional wrestling today. He said,
“It’s the hottest thing in sports entertainment, in professional wrestling. The Bloodline storyline, as a whole, and the intricacies in the relationship and the characters, it’s the best thing in wrestling right now. There’s not even a close second. That’s just how it is.”
“I don’t say that because they hired me back. I say that because it’s a fact. If you disagree with it, it’s because you’re a hater and you’re not looking at the big picture, you’re playing small ball. Roman Reigns and his reign have been epic and history making for the WWE as an entertainment conglomerate. It’s good for business. It’s best for business. We ain’t even close to over.”
The Bloodline storyline will add its next chapter tonight when Reigns & Zayn collide with John Cena & Kevin Owens in tag team action on WWE SmackDown.
