Former WWE Superstar Trinity ‘Naomi’ Fatu was at last night’s ROH Supercard of Honor event, and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena hopes ‘the glow‘ is sticking around.
Last month, Fatu confirmed on social media that her tenure with WWE has ended, after being suspended last May.
The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion was backstage at Supercard of Honor, which saw Athena retain her title against Yuka Sakazaki.
Speaking on the post-show media scrum, Athena confirmed that Fatu was at the show, and spoke about facing her in the future. She said,
“Trin is one of my really good friends, we talk on a daily basis. When we both found out that we were in LA, it was really awesome. She’s one of my very close friends and she wanted to come out in support. And so, very cool moment. I hope to have a match with her in the future. I never had the opportunity in WWE, to have that match, so absolutely.”
Athena will defend her title against Miyu Yamashita on next week’s episode of ROH TV on HonorClub.
