Cedric Alexander took two definitive losses to AJ Styles over the past 48 hours. According to a report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this is an attempt by Vince McMahon to bury the upstart Superstar from North Carolina.
While Bryan Alvarez would go on to speculate that this is because Vince McMahon has a short attention span, no official reasoning was given as to why Vince McMahon would want this treatment for Alexander.
It should be noted, Alexander reportedly has an ally in Paul Heyman
