Earlier this week, WWE announced that Nikki Cross was added to the SmackDown Women’s Title match between Bayley and Alexa Bliss as that contest was changed into a handicap match.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this was not the original plan and the addition of Cross was a late change because Bliss has a “real bad sinus infection.” This was the reason that Bliss absent from TV this week.
The Extreme Rules pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, July 14th, 2019 in Philadelphia, PA at the Wells Fargo Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.
