Shane McMahon’s return to WWE did not go as planned during WrestleMania 39: Night Two.
Over a year after his last appearance for WWE, McMahon returned as the surprise opponent for The Miz in a match that was arranged by the latter’s WrestleMania co-host Snoop Dogg.

Unfortunately, Shane suffered an ankle injury early into the match, and Snoop Dogg filled in for the Prodigal Son of WWE.

There is no confirmation on the kind of injury Shane suffered during his WWE return.
