Jonathan Gresham has proved his international background has him in position to hang and compete with any current or former ROH Champion. But Gresham has been on the outside looking in on a big victory, perhaps in no small part due to a knee injury that cost him a victory in an instant classic against Jay Lethal at Honor Reigns Supreme in February!
At State of the Art – San Antonio, Gresham takes on yet another former ROH World Champion Cody! Cody enters the match just two weeks ahead of his first ROH World Championship opportunity since losing the title at Final Battle 2017 but if he thinks of his bout against “The Octopus” as a tune up for his title match, he will be in for a long night, if not a loss!

In this first-time bout, Cody takes on Jonathan Gresham at State of the Art – San Antonio just two weeks before Cody’s ROH World Championship bout at Best in the World and he may have picked the worst time to face the pure-style wrestler!
Gresham has been a rising international star on the independent wrestling scene for the last decade and wrestled in 13 countries across four continents before turning 30 earlier this year. That experience led him to a near victory over former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal, all while fighting a devastating knee injury. In the return match, Gresham, competing at less than 100%, came up just short once again but showed the world he could compete with the top stars in wrestling. In San Antonio, he gets his opportunity to deliver against one of the top contenders for the Ring of Honor World Championship, Cody!
