AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II takes place on June 25, 2023, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and another Japanese wrestling promotion could be partaking in the upcoming supershow.
Fightful Select is reporting that AEW and STARDOM have had talks about the latter’s talent appearing at the event. Reigning AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm was particularly mentioned as someone that would face one of the STARDOM wrestlers.
However, it’s unknown which STARDOM talents would be available as the promotion will be having its own event on the same weekend as AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II. AEW and STARDOM have held discussions to find a viable solution to the matter and AEW President Tony Khan wants the Japanese company to participate this year.
It is to be noted that AEW had similar conversations with STARDOM in 2022.
