Adam Cole was supposed to wrestle Tom Lawlor at Sunday’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II pay-per-view event, but AEW pulled him from the show at the final hour due to an illness.
During a recent appearance on “The Undisputed Podcast,” Lawlor jokingly told Bobby Fish that Cole could’ve possibly dodged him at Forbidden Door II. The NJPW star said,
“It is possible, it is possible. I remember back in 2014, when I showed up at the Manhattan Center to corner you and Kyle O’Reilly, where you defeated the Young Bucks at the War Of Worlds, there was a guy by the name of Adam Cole taking pictures with me, asking for my autograph. [laughs] I think he knew what was coming to him.”
Cole appeared on AEW Dynamite this week to advance his storyline with MJF.
