While speaking with Pwinsider, AEW President Tony Khan spoke about Jade Cargill’s status with the promotion after months of her being away.
The last time fans saw Cargill was when she lost the AEW TBS Championship to Kris Statlander at the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event in Las Vegas, Nevada. This loss snapped Jade’s 60-0 winning streak.
Cargill indicated after the bout that she was taking time off and liked being out of the wrestling bubble. “TK” said,
“Well, Jade’s still with us, and Jade has been on sabbatical since her upset, I believe title loss after her unbelievable undefeated run. And Kris Statlander now is the TBS Champion, and she’s made some great defenses of the title, but Jade is still with us. And I can’t say for certain what anybody’s going to do in the future, but certainly we value Jade and everything she’s done here.”
