The origins of the name of AEW’s upcoming ‘Worlds End’ pay-per-view event comes from across the pond in the United Kingdom, Tony Khan has revealed.

In a recent interview with The Athletic, Khan spoke about the upcoming event and how he was inspired in the UK. He said,

“It’s inspired by London. I was on my way to the Tottenham Hotspur versus Fulham match at Tottenham. I’m looking for a name for the pay-per-view. We passed by the World’s End (pub) and I thought, ‘That’s it.'”

AEW Worlds End 2023 will take place on December 30, in Long Island, New York. The show will see AEW World Champion MJF face Samoa Joe in the show’s main event.
