Top ROH Talents Headed To WWE?, Wyatt Family’s Push

— Names that are expected to take part in the next WWE tryout camp later this month in Orlando includes Prince Mustafa Ali, Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards. Ali is an independent wrestler in the Midwest, while Edwards and Richards are most known for their time with Ring of Honor. Richards pulled out of a scheduled appearance with PWG that weekend for the PWG Battle of Los Angeles tournament to take part in the tryout. Both Edwards and Richards are working without contracts for ROH at the moment.

— WWE WrestleMania 29 in New Jersey at Metlife Stadium has been nominated for a 2013 SportsTravel Award for the category of “Best Professional Sporting Event of the Year.” Other nominees include the 2013 NFL NFC Championship game, 2012 USTA U.S. Open, 2012 Ryder Cup and 2012 Nike U.S. Open of Surfing. The deadline for voting is 9/15.

— The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) are being described as a “major project” by Triple H in WWE as we noted earlier. While nothing is quite official yet, the early word was that they were being groomed to take on a similar role that The Shield currently has on WWE television. Several WWE officials have “fallen flat” on the Shield as of late.
