Top WOW – Women of Wrestling wrestler “Beast” suffered a leg injury recently and could be sidelined for some time. Reportedly, her injury is said to have pushed back the WOW TV tapings for the new season and caused a bunch of creative changes to the show.
The original plans involved Beast being heavily featured and in line for a huge title push. WOW promoter David McClane is said to be very high on Beast, which justifies his reasonings for pushing her on the new show. Beast has not wrestled since 2019 when the last set of WOW TV tapings took place.
A source privy to the situation said the injury was “unfortunate” and the delay in the TV tapings were seemingly to allow Beast to heal and return before the tapings wrapped. It was communicated to staff and talent that the cancellations were due to COVID-19 protocol, but it’s said folks knew better because the shows were canceled well in advance.
