He beat EC3, Velveteen Dream, Ricochet, Lars Sullivan, and Killian Dain in a ladder match to become the inaugural champion.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, Shawn Michaels and Michael Hayes helped produce the ladder match.
