WWE is slated to return to Salt Lake City, Utah on September 23rd for a SmackDown TV taping.
This will mark the anniversary of WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg’s first-ever match on WCW Nitro, which happened on September 22, 1997 in the city when he beat Hugh Morrus (Bill Demott).
Whether WWE will incorporate the 25th anniversary of Goldberg’s debut into the show is unclear.
Goldberg last wrestled for WWE at Elimination Chamber earlier this year, losing to Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Title. He is currently not under contract with the company.
