WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Lanza, real name John Lanza, has passed away at the age of 86.
Jim Ross first noted on Twitter that he had heard the news and Dave Meltzer later confirmed it. Lanza’s legendary tag team partner Blackjack Mulligan passed away at the age of 73 in 2016 after battling health issues.
Vince McMahon’s Twitter account commented on Lanza’s passing by writing the following:
“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Jack Lanza. He was a man’s man, respected and beloved by all. He worked for and loved WWE for many years. His loyalty and dedication will never be forgotten.”
