The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that while the company outwardly talks like ratings are no longer a reliable metric, Vince McMahon was said to have been “very upset” with the September 27th record low WWE Monday night RAW rating.
The feeling within the TV industry was that the ratings that night didn’t matter (including Monday Night Football) due to the fact that almost every show got destroyed in the ratings by the presidential debate. WWE and Vince’s issue is that the overall RAW rating has fallen more than expected with the return of the NFL’s Monday Night Football, and that is with Monday Night Football ratings being down overall for the entire season so far.
