WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins had nothing but respect for Rey Mysterio during a recent WWE live event in Mexico.
At the event in Monterrey, Mexico, Rollins retained his World Heavyweight Championship against Dominik Mysterio in the show’s main event.
After the match, Seth was joined by Rey, who teamed with LWO allies Cruz del Toro and Joaquin Wilde to defeat Imperium in the opening match.
In an emotional promo, Rollins spoke about the influence Rey has had on WWE and on wrestling as a whole. He added.
“Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, and for everyone else in the history of this business. We love you. You’re the best.”
Rey joined WWE in 2002 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of this year’s class.
