The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Money in the Bank PPV event:
Singles Match (Pre-Show): Jeff Hardy vs. Cesaro
After briefly locking up in the ring, Hardy went for a dive off of the steel steps while ringside but Cesaro caught him and slammed him on the barricade. Back in the ring, Cesaro put the boots to him. Moments later, Jeff made a comeback with some strikes and used the top rope to his advantage. Cesaro sent him into the apron of the ring. Back in the ring, Cesaro hit a leg drop off the top rope for 2.
Cesaro had some time of offense before Hardy made another comeback with strikes and hitting some signature moves. Cesaro blocked the Twist of Fate and Hardy went to the top rope but Cesaro knocked him down. Hardy landed some back elbows and hit Whisper in the Wind for 2. Hardy hit the Twist of Fate for the near fall. Hardy hit a powerslam then went to the top rope but Cesaro hit an uppercut to Hardy before hitting a suplex off the top rope for 2.
Cesaro went for his finisher but Hardy reversed and Cesaro hit a clothesline. They brawled outside of the ring and Hardy hit a dive off the barricade before going back into the ring and hitting the Swanton Bomb for the win.
