WWE NXT 2.0 Superstar Odyssey Jones was a recent guest on the “Wrestling The Rap Game” podcast and provided an update on his recovery.
As many of you know, Jones underwent surgery back in January to fix a ruptured patellar tendon. He said,
“I went for an up and over and went up, but didn’t go over. Went up and straight down. I was being…I could have worked smarter. I didn’t work smart enough. That’s my learning curve.”
Jones added,
“God willing, if I get another opportunity to get back out there and do it again, I know for a fact that I’ll do it better. If that opportunity comes, I’m hoping. I’m excited for the return, but I try not to think about it too much. It’s the light at the end of the tunnel and a little bit out of reach. I’d rather be where my ass is and focus on things. I’m already walking, braced up, no crutch. Six weeks post-op, seven weeks from the injury.”
WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley will be appearing in a lucha libre-themed superhero action-comedy titled “Green Ghost and the Masters of the Stone” and a new clip from the film has been posted online.
Gravitas Ventures posted the following video from the film, which stars Bobby Lashley, Charlie Clark, Kuno Becker, Marko Zaror, Renee Victor, Sofia Pernas, Elpidia Carrillo, Pepe Serna, and Danny Trejo.
Michael D. Olmos is the director of the film and it is described as follows:
“In a Texas border town, car salesman Charlie (CHARLIE CLARK) moonlights as a masked Lucha libre wrestler going by the name “Green Ghost.” When unknown assailants arrive seeking an otherworldly emerald, Charlie discovers that he has super powers. As he learns to fight from the unconventional Master Gin (action film legend DANNY TREJO), Charlie is told that he’s part of a secret warrior “triad of light” with his childhood friend Marco (KUNO BECKER) and Marco’s sister Karina (SOFIA PERNAS) led by La Nana (RENEE VICTOR). Together, they’ve been chosen to protect humanity from Drake (MARKO ZAROR), the embodiment of the Mayan apocalypse. As a stargate is opened in a Mexican pyramid, Drake seeks the power to destroy humankind — and Charlie, linked to the power of the emerald, is the only one who can stop him. Charlie must harness both his physical and mystical strength to save humanity and go from Gringo to Green Ghost.”
