WWE could soon see an influx of NXT brands around the world according to recent comments made by Shawn Michaels.
WWE relaunched NXT as their developmental brand in 2012, and launched NXT UK in 2017.
Next year, WWE will launch NXT Europe and announced the new brand in a statement from August in which they announced the end of NXT UK.
Michaels talked about WWE’s plans to take NXT international during the post-Halloween Havoc media scrum.
“I know there’s been talks of NXT Japan and NXT Mexico. As I understand it those announcements could be coming down the road in 2023, so this company continues to grow and expand. I know a guy who’s interested in NXT and its expansion, so I’m sure those things aren’t very far down the line at all.”
While NXT Europe will launch next year, an official date has not been confirmed.
The announcement of NXT Europe was quickly followed by mass releases, with the majority of Superstars being cut from NXT UK.
