WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley was booked at this year’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
They did some clinch work early. Lashley suplexed Lesnar on his head. Lesnar with a few german suplexes of his own. Lashley blocked the F5 and hit a spear twice. Lashley went for a spear on the floor and crashed through the barricade.
Back in the ring, Lesnar hit some more german suplexes. Lashley locked in the hurt lock, but Lesnar got out of it by smashing the referee with Lashley. Lesnar hit the F5, but took out the referee. Roman Reigns with a spear to Lesnar then Paul Heyman gave Reigns the WWE Title and Reigns hit Lesnar with it. Lashley pinned Lesnar.
Winner: Bobby Lashley – NEW CHAMPION
