With this years PPV only a matter of days away i’m going down the list and reviewing the past PPV. Each articles will be a different year, also to see what was good and what was bad.

There is a lot to get into and I’m going to give my quick thoughts on at the time a big show in TLC 2011 PPV. This PPV ended some big feuds and started new ones.

Tag Team Title Match: Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston (c) defeated Primo and Epico in 7:32

This shows you what the tag division had at the time. A thrown together tag team that did quite well for themselves. Bourne ended up getting hurt and ended the two. Nice chemistry in the ring. As for Primo and Epico, well there in mask now…

Sledgehammer Ladder match: Triple H defeated Kevin Nash in 18:18

Another feud started at Summerslam with Nash costing CM Punk the title when Del Rio cashed in. They went back and forth during the coming months into this PPV. It honestly felt like a high school drama of “Who sent the text” storyline. It wasn’t a bad match nor a show stealer. It went probably 8 minutes to long. This was the second biggest feud at the time so that’s the majority reason they had ton of time.

Chairs match for the World Heavyweight Title: The Big Show defeated Mark Henry (c) in 05:13

Throughout the coming months these guys was on the top of their game. They worked hard and had match of the night every time they got in the ring together. Story telling was simple and to the point. You have the belt, I want that belt.

Daniel Bryan cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the World Heavyweight Championship

Bryan was really trying to find himself in the crazy world we call WWE but he finally got it. They AKA management got behind him with MITB win and he finally cashed in at this PPV. It was his time and everyone wanted to see it. All three of these guys went on to feud at Royal Rumble in a steel cage. Next month I will get more into that match.

Intercontinental Title Match: Cody Rhodes (c) defeated Booker T in 09:16

In all honesty I don’t think a lot of people cared about this feud. Cody was stuck with the IC title and didn’t know where to go. They had Booker T on commentary not adjusting with the guidelines WWE had. Also Booker wanted one more program so they had it. The story was whack and an afterthought. The title being on the line made no sense and out of place. Booker got one more feud that didn’t over stay its welcome.

Triple threat Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WWE Title: CM Punk (c) defeated The Miz and Alberto Del Rio in 18:24

CM Punk won the title in the PPV prior to this one where he made ADR tap out at Survivor Series. Del Rio only held the title for 35 days after he cashed in at Summerslam on CM Punk. I have no clue what Miz was doing in this match and there is probably no good reason but onto. A good match that had some decent spots but nothing to go out of your way to see if you want to see a spot fest match. The match was good but a well put together match and organized. ADR had no real run as WWE champion and after this PPV it was what 434 day reign. Punk made himself during the summer of this year and it shot him into a different universe in 2012.
