Steve Austin confronted Kevin Owens on the KO Show at the WWE WrestleMania 38 pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the segment:
Owens noted he saw a lot about Texas and Austin. He wondered if he should apologize and he apologized to every Texan out there and he is sorry that he told the world about the pathetic state. Austin came out in a t-shirt, shorts, and knee braces. Owens cut Austin off as he was making his way around the ring and told him to take a seat. Austin questioned Owens wanting to have a conversation after talking trash and looking like a jackass. Owens wondered why Austin never moved from Texas. Austin had the fans chant asshole at Owens. Owens said he lied about wanting Austin on his show and he tricked him because he wants a fight and he challenged him to a no holds barred match. Owens said Austin knows he can’t win. Austin said he had his first match in Dallas and he could have his last match in Dallas. He polled the fans on it and they were down.
Austin knocked him down in the corner and put the boots to him. Austin opened up a can of beer then put more boots to him. Austin tossed him to the floor. Austin with a clothesline then tossed him into the barricade. Owens sent him into the ring post. Austin tossed him over the barricade and they brawled into the crowd. Owens with a suplex on the concrete floor. Austin drove Owens up the stage on the ATV and they brawled. Austin with a suplex on the stage. They brawled back to the ring. Owens with a stunner out of nowhere for 2. Owens missed a chair shot and it hit him in the face. Austin with the stunner for the win.
