Rey Mysterio suffered another setback due to a knee injury. He had his tenth knee surgery last November.
The injury occurred after Mysterio lost the United States Title to Logan Paul at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Following an attack by Santos Escobar, who believed Mysterio was siding with Carlito over him, Mysterio was written off television on SmackDown.
Mysterio has been dealing with this injury for the past three months. It is expected that Mysterio will be involved in a group vs. group feud, teaming up with Carlito against Escobar and his group once he’s back on television.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mysterio’s return is likely to happen within the next few weeks.
