Officials in WWE are high on former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, who has impressed them with her work on the black-and-gold brand.
Fightful Select is reporting that WWE NXT officials are happy with Roxanne’s performances in the previous two women’s Royal Rumble matches, and it’s believed to be a “matter of time” before she gets called up to the main roster.
However, some want Perez to stay in WWE NXT, as it would buy her time to develop her new heel character.
Officials are said to be “blown away” by her current work as a heel, with some pushing for her to win the NXT Women’s Title at NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 this weekend.
While fans have speculated that Perez is filling a role meant for the injured Cora Jade, it’s not entirely true.
Jade and Perez were originally planned to reunite as a heel tag team before Jade was shelved with an injury.
Perez is said to be “professional beyond her years” and it is believed that the “sky is the limit” for her in WWE.
