Vince Russo – ‘WWE Shouldn’t Put Any Stock In CM Punk!’

CM Punk has been out of action since earlier this year when he sustained a triceps injury at the WWE Royal Rumble 2024 pay-per-view event.

Despite this, Punk has been making regular appearances on WWE television in a non-wrestling capacity to progress his storyline with Drew McIntyre.

However, a former WWE writer seems to have a bitter taste for Punk owing to the latter’s injury-prone nature.

On a recent edition of his “Writing with Russo” podcast, Vince Russo opined that WWE should not place faith in Punk due to his history of frequent injuries.

Russo highlighted Punk’s injury-prone nature as a significant factor in why he should not be given a major push. The former WWE creative member argued that, at this stage of his career, it does not make sense for WWE to invest heavily in Punk due to his history of injuries.

Russo said, “I mean, bro, I just, god I just feel like with him, every time he steps in a ring he gets hurtMan I just, I don’t know how at this stage in the game you could put any stock in that guy with his injury history. I don’t know bro, I just don’t know.”
