WWE SmackDown Results (9/8/2023)

Here are the results for the episode of WWE SmackDown airing on September 8, 2023.

#1. Charlotte Flair & Shotzi vs. Damage CTRL’s Iyo Sky & Bayley (w/ Dakota Kai) – Winners: Flair & Shotzi with an assist from Asuka

Asuka has Iyo Sky’s title. She throws it down in front of her, laughs, and walks away with a big grin on her face.

Jimmy Uso tells Paul Heyman that nobody told him he is out of The Bloodline, so what are they doing tonight? Heyman says that he may be in, but he has to be in with the Tribal Chief’s say. He needs to handle AJ Styles business tonight, and Heyman will do his best to get the family back together. Jimmy walks off.

Heyman walks down the corridor and comes across AJ Styles. Paul asks AJ if he has enough problems around here without messing with him? AJ grabs Heyman, and Jimmy makes the save.

Iyo Sky accepts a title match with Asuka, meanwhile, LA Knight makes his way to the ring and gets a microphone. He doesn’t know if anyone got to see The Miz’s performance on Raw, but let’s dissect that. The Miz is here to play (he then has a dig at Kevin Nash’s old “play” botch). Here’s the deal, he didn’t ask or need John Cena’s endorsement. He got all the respect in the world for Cena, but he did count the three. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but The Miz has got to swallow. If he has to be a cockroach to get stomped out one more time, here’s a challenge… Grayson Waller is here.

Before he gets ahead of himself, allow him to introduce Austin Theory. They are the only undefeated team on the roster. LA Knight says they must be fan favorites. Austin Theory says that when they are done, nobody will want anything to do with him. LA Knight insults them both in entertaining fashion, so let’s get to it. Yeah! Grayson Waller is on commentary for the next match.

#2. LA Knight vs. Austin Theory – Winner: LA Knight

AJ Styles is still standing, so he can fight. Nothing is going to stop him from tearing off Jimmy Uso’s head tonight.

The Judgment Day tells everyone to rise. They are proud of Rhea Ripley for defending her title. Also, they did something The Bloodline, and not even Roman Reigns could do. They defeated and took the titles from Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens. Anytime Dominik Mysterio talks he is drowned out. The Brawling Brutes show up to have a banger. Ridge Holland has got a habit of breaking guys like them, but it’s not him he needs to worry about. It’s this fella. Finn Balor laughs at Butch, but he gets his fingers snapped.

#3. Judgment Day’s Finn Balor & Damian Priest (w/ Dominik Mysterio) vs. Brawling Brutes’ Butch & Ridge Holland – Winners: Judgment Day

Bobbly Lashley & Street Profits make their way to the ring. There’s a stare down between Lashley and Priest. Bobby says The Bloodline may be crumbling, but it’s not the Judgment Day taking over, because it will be them.

AJ Styles gets angry with Karl Anderson as he felt The O.C didn’t have his back with Jimmy Uso. If that’s how it’s going to be, he doesn’t want them anywhere near his match.

Halfway through the main event, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman appeared on the stage to watch.

#4. Jimmy Uso vs. AJ Styles – Winner: AJ Styles

The Judgment Day attack AJ Styles from behind and feed him to Sikoa, who drills him with the Samoan Spike. Is there some kind of alliance? Thanks for joining us. See you next week.
