AEW Dynamite Results (12/6/2023)

#1. [Continental Classic] Jon Moxley vs. Rush – Winner: Jon Moxley via technical submission

After talking about the decisions he has made in his life, Roderick Strong gets up out of his wheelchair and says it has held him back for far too long. Matt Taven throws it off the stage.

Renee Paquette catches up with Hangman Page outside of MJF’s room. He says he could not fly for a few weeks after the Texas Deathmatch. Page says to Swerve Strickland that after everything, and all the help he got, he can admit that he beat him. However, Page took something from Strickland that night, and he won’t forget it. This isn’t over, and he promises that he will never get it back.

MJF chimes in by asking if they enjoyed their contest of who can get the most STDs. After several passive aggressive comments, MJF accuses Page of being The Devil. Page says for as long as has known him, it is likely MJF working everyone. Samoa Joe gets in the middle of them before it can get ugly, and then tells MJF to stop it, because they have more important things to deal with tonight.

#2. [Continental Classic] Mark Briscoe vs. Swerve Strickland – Winner: Swerve Strickland

Mariah May talked to Tony Khan, and while she cannot say who her first opponent is, Toni Storm has her first title defense tonight. She’s looking forward to that.

We were meant to get the scheduled match of MJF & Samoa Joe vs. The Devil’s Masked Men, but after Joe was surrounded in the ring (the masked men disappeared after a blackout), a camera showed MJF knocked out backstage. Samoa Joe quickly runs to the backstage area.

Jon Moxley knows who he is. He expects to be 5-0 by the end of this. Swerve Strickland interrupts him by saying it will take a lot to stop the momentum he has. He will see Moxley in Texas.

Before the next match, “Timeless” Toni Storm gets a grand entrance for her first title defense.

#3. [AEW Women’s World Championship] “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Skye Blue – Winner: Toni Storm retains

Riho returns to AEW! She steals Toni’s spotlight, and she is anything but happy about that.

#4. [Continental Classic] Jay White vs. Jay Lethal – Winner: Jay White

#5. [TNT Championship] Christian Cage (c) vs. Adam Copeland – Winner: Christian Cage retains*

*While the referee was knocked down, Shayna Wayne appeared and got in the ring. She grabbed the title belt and looked conflicted on who she should hit, before striking Adam Copeland in the face. To add further injury, Christian stomped Copeland’s head in to the title belt, before the referee recovered to administer the pin fall.
