Being associated with Thunder Rosa may prove to be costly, as AEW has stopped booking those closest to the AEW Women’s World Champion.
Rosa has been out of action for nearly two months, after suffering an injury that left her unable to defend her title at AEW All Out 2022.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that those close to Rosa, KiLynn King, Madi Wrenkowski, and Jazmin Allure have not been booked at all as of late.
The report noted that King seemed on the cusp of being elevated before her bookings with AEW dried up.
Prior to her injury, it was reported that Rosa had heat backstage and was reportedly difficult to work with.
During a match, Rosa broke the nose of Jamie Hayter and reportedly hid backstage to avoid conflict after the match.
There have been suggestions that Rosa is exaggerating her injury, as she reportedly informed AEW higher-ups that she couldn’t wrestle after learning she’d be losing her title to Toni Storm at All Out 2022.
Storm, who debuted in AEW earlier this year, is the reigning Interim AEW Women’s World Champion, and the titles will be unified when Rosa is healed.
