The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the AEW Revolution pay-per-view event:
Ladder Match – Winner Earns Shot At AEW TNT Championship: Cody Rhodes vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Penta El Zero M vs. Lance Archer vs. Max Caster vs. Ethan Page
Ethan Page was the big surprise. They started brawling to start the match. Cody hit Max in the face with a kick on the stage. Page went to climb the ladder, but Cody met him up there. They took out Lance by sending him face first into the ladder. Page turned down Cody’s welcome and hit him in the shoulder with a ladder. Penta ran off a ladder to take out everyone at ringside. Page hit a cutter to Lance on the ladder then smashed him in between the ladder. Page sent Sky flying onto the ladder, which still had Lance smashed in between. Penta climbed the ladder, but Cody took him out with a dive off the top rope. Penta with a super kick to Cody. This led to Penta hitting the Candian Destroyer to Cody on the ladder wedged between the apron and barricade.
Sky hit a suplex to Page on the floor. Cody was taken to the backstage area. Sky and Max brawled on top of ladders. Sky pushed everyone off the ladders until Penta stopped him with a super kick. Sky suplexed Max on a ladder. There was a big bump by Sky through a ladder. Cody later came out with tape on his shoulder. Lance hit a suplex to Cody off a ladder. Max hit an elbow drop off the top of a ladder. Lance with a series of chokeslams to a few wrestlers. Lance hit the blackout to Max on a ladder. Page tried to stop Lance from getting the ring so he took out Page. However, Page hit a low blow then connected with the razor’s edge. Jake Roberts hit Page with a clothesline then Penta hit Jake with a super kick. Cody with a cutter to Penta. Seconds later, Penta hit Cody in the arm with a chair. Sky with chair shots to Penta. Sky shoved Cody off the ladder and got the ring.
Winner: Scorpio Sky
