Adam Copeland wasted no time in joining AEW once his WWE contract expired in September 2023. He made his debut for AEW at the WrestleDream pay-per-view event in October.
Since then, Copeland has successfully won the TNT Title. This Saturday on Collision, he is scheduled to defend his title against Kyle O’Reilly.
During a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Copeland opened up about his transition from WWE to AEW. He said,
“It happened so quick. My contract with WWE was up on, I want to say September 21st. That’s when I started talking to Tony [Khan.] It was September 22nd. And WrestleDream was October 1st. So it all happened within a week.”
