On Monday afternoon, Big E wrote on Twitter about his past battle with depression:
“In my early 20s, I wanted to be famous so that when I committed suicide, someone would care. I never thought I could be free of the sheer weight of my depression but here I am—alive and truly happy.”
Big E broke his neck when he took a German suplex from Ridge Holland during a tag team match on an episode of SmackDown as he landed right on his head. The former WWE Champion won’t need to undergo surgery and there was no damage to his spinal cord. He fractured the C-1 and C-6 vertebrae in his neck.
