As we previously reported here on eWn, a WWE NXT Superstar would go to Japan to compete against the Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion for the title at New Year’s Giant Series on January 3, 2024.
AJPW recently released a video from WWE Hall of Famer William Regal, announcing that his son Charlie Dempsey will be making his AJPW debut at the event competing against the Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion.
Reigning Triple Crown Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima will defend his title against Kento Miyahara on December 31 at #ajpwMANIAx. Dempsey will face the winner of that match.
Regal stated that it was the first time that he had publicly called Dempsey his son.
Regal left AEW for WWE earlier this year. This is his first on-screen appearance since returning to the company.
