According to a report from Pwinsider, Impact Wrestling has hired former WWE executive Lou D’Angeli. Reportedly, D’Angeli was backstage at Impact’s Slammiversary pay-per-view event back in June.
Initially, D’Angeli was brought in as a consultant. As a part of his role, D’Angeli will run Impact’s marketing department, as well as several other backstage responsibilities.
D’Angeli was hired by WWE in 2006. He became their Director of Marketing and was heavily involved in WrestleMania AXXESS. He left WWE to work for Cirque du Soleil, where he worked for 11 years as Vice President of Marketing, Sales & Public Relations, Resident Shows Division, North America.
