WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has branded CM Punk’s actions at the AEW All Out 2022 media scrum as “inexcusable” amid reports Punk’s days with the company are ending.
At the All Out post-show media scrum, Punk trashed the Elite, former friend Colt Cabana and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.
Speaking on a Q&A episode of ‘The Kurt Angle Show,’ the Olympian was asked for his thoughts on Punk’s comments.
“Vince would’ve lost his sh*t. I don’t know CM Punk enough to say what kind of person he is… I’d be willing to just say he’s a good guy, but what he did at that press conference was inexcusable.”
Punk has been suspended since All Out due to his involvement with the backstage fight, alongside Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.
Punk’s trainer Ace Steel was fired from AEW earlier this week and it has been reported that AEW could buy out the remainder of Punk’s contract.
