Kyle O’Reilly has a fondness for wrestling in Japan and now that he’s no longer with WWE as he left to join AEW, he’s free to work in the country again.Â
This is something he talked about during an appearance on The Zaslow Show:
“Wrestling in Japan was always one of my biggest goals and dreams getting into the sport. In 2014, I finally had the opportunity to go over there with Bobby [Fish] for New Japan, and just everything about it man, they treat it like it’s an absolute real sport, like in the newspapers next to baseball results will be the wrestling results. The wrestlers are revered and respected by everyone. It’s just a totally different culture and the crowd, it’s not that they’re like, quiet per se. They’re just respectful and they’re watching the action and they’re appreciating the true sports nature of it. It’s such a cool environment and I am really hoping that I’ll get the opportunity to go back there because I felt like I left a lot on the table when I left in 2017. I just love everything about the country, man, the people, the culture, and the food, especially. It’s just a really cool place,” said Kyle.
