As noted, Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE on Friday. McMahon’s son-in-law, Triple H, was named the new Head of Creative yesterday. Many have wondered whether Triple H’s fingerprints were felt on last night’s episode of RAW. However, it appears most of RAW was written before the big switchover.

According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE RAW from Madison Square Garden was largely written by Thursday, July 21st. Meltzer stated that very little changed by Monday when RAW went on air.

Meltzer stated, “This is probably not the show to judge anything by because this show was largely written before Vince left. It was written a lot on Thursday.” While the show did apparently have some “minor changes,” Meltzer continued, “Nobody ripped up anything. There were a few minor changes is what I was told. But essentially, this was the show that had been approved. So they didn’t — they’re not making any big changes or anything like that just yet and of course, they’re going to SummerSlam with the ideas in mind.”

WWE is preparing to present SummerSlam from Nashville this weekend. Fans will have to wait and see if Triple H’s fingerprints will be felt during that show.
