List Of Wrestlers Who Could Use A Push

WWE, believe or not, has lots of talent. They just do not use it all to their disposal. There are lots of great talent in WWE, but these wrestlers have been in a stagnant form for much of this year. Here is just a list of wrestlers who could use a good push right now.

Antonio Cesaro: Let’s get the obvious out of the way here. After watching Antonio Cesaro’s 2 out of 3 falls match against Sami Zayn on NXT, I was sold on him. The man can absolutely deliver in the ring. As reported on this site, Cesaro is due to turn face soon, and he should get a huge push in the process. Now am I talking world titles? Certainly not yet. It is far too early. However, I would like to see him get a decent push with a singles title, like the Intercontinental Championship. The United States Championship was held by him, but was made to look weak throughout his push. That should change, because the fans are over with him, especially with his now popular Cesaro Swing. Build this man up as a legitimate threat and he could be seeing world titles in his future quicker than you can say “uppercut.”

Kofi Kingston: This man needs a push. A heel push. Ever since bursting on the WWE scene in 2008, he has been everybody’s favorite high flying baby face. For a while, he was a good baby face and entertaining to watch. But boy, the man personifies boredom now. It’s the same old cliche with him. He will come out, BOOM BOOM BOOM, another jump, the same moves, the BOOM BOOM BOOM before the Trouble In Paradise, a boom drop, and done. The same thing for 2008. But what if he was a heel? Kofi Kingston has been one of the most believable baby faces, which would make a heel turn much more intriguing. He still lacks that charisma to put him at the world title level, but the change in his character would do more harm than good.

The Usos: Okay, so an old, fat, 41 year old man (Big Show) and an unhealthy 39 year old man (Rey Mysterio) gets a tag team title shot over The Usos? I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. When the Usos are doing their entrance, and they speak all that gibberish, they are secretly saying “WE NEED A PUSH! WE NEED A PUSH!”. These two men have performed at an unbelievable rate and completely burst on the scene in 2013. They have had great matches with the likes of The Shield, Cody Rhodes and Goldust. They have the ability, they just don’t have the direction. And that is what is needed. Triple H wants to put so much emphasis on the tag team division. Well, a good start would be with one of the better tag teams in the division, everybody’s favorite Samoan team, The Usos.

The Miz: If you never saw The Miz wrestle before, and if I were to tell you that he once main evented WrestleMania against John Cena, would you believe me? I know I wouldn’t. The Miz, let’s face it, is annoying either as a face or a heel. But he is far less obnoxious as a heel. For the last couple of weeks, his mini feud with Kofi has seen him turn multiple times. The Miz being a heel is the best thing to do with him. MIZ TV also needs to stop. Now. That is the portion of the show that loses viewers. A nice good, heel run for The Miz could quite possibly put him back in the world title picture. He is a very accomplished wrestler, believe it or not. All he needs now is a good shape up in his character, and never turn face again.

Dolph Ziggler: This article is for people who COULD use a push. Not people who DESERVE a push. In all honesty, i believe Dolph is highly overrated. Despite his great selling and in ring prowess, the man just completely lacks in every other area. Seriously, when is the last time you saw him cut a good promo? When’s the last time you saw him convince you that he is a legit threat? Whether or not that is WWE’s fault is up for debate, but Ziggler has become the unified king of the pre-show. Ziggler’s talent is too great to have him on the pre show on a consistent basis. What WWE needs to do with Ziggler is give him some high quality wins. Not another gimmick match with Damien Sandow. I mean give him a few lengthy matches and take it from there. Now if Ziggler’s attitude and issues with his character pursue, I say drop the ball, because WWE has tried it with him once and it clearly didn’t work out. But i still have a little faith in Ziggler. Emphasis on “little”.

Wade Barrett: What’s that old saying? Humpty Dumpty had a great fall? As The Miz would say, “Really?”. This is the Wade Barrett we saw competing against John Cena and Randy Orton 3 years ago for the WWE Championship? This is Chris Jericho’s rookie? This is the Bare Knuckle Brawler? Are you kidding me? Bad News Barrett? A 30 second segment where he just stands on a podium and blurts out random thoughts? Why? Why can’t WWE make him do what he does best, wrestle? Now admittedly, I believe Barrett should work on a few things, in ring wise. But the man has potential that is untapped. He hasn’t been allowed to show what he is truly capable of. All he did earlier this year was job to the upper mid card, like Randy Orton and Sheamus, and later in the year to main eventers like Daniel Bryan. Wade is still has a lot to learn in WWE, but anything is better than what he is doing now.

Did I miss anybody? Comment.
