During a recent interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, WWE Hall of Famer Lita commented on her Steel Cage Match with Victoria back in 2003, which current WWE women’s Superstars she’d like to work with, and more. You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On her Steel Cage Match with Victoria back in 2003: ‘Oh yeah, definitely! We had a Steel Cage match, Victoria and I had the first women’s Steel Cage Match. But… we were shackled. “OK, you can have a Steel Cage Match, but you can’t go off the top, you can’t do this”. They were really like, “Basically, you can have a match and there’s gonna be a steel cage around you.” To be able to be a part of these – a TLC match, a Steel Cage Match. Something like that where the women now are not having just “the women’s version”. It’s just a Steel Cage match, it’s just a TLC match.’
On current WWE women’s stars she’d like to wrestle: ‘I think I would be lucky to step in with any of those women on the roster. There are some standouts. I had fun being in there with Shotzi, I think that would be cool to do something again. I was really impressed with Rhea Ripley, I’d love to so something with her. Of course, pick up where I left off with Charlotte Flair. Bianca [Belair] is an incredible athlete. And, you know what, Nattie! Nattie’s been there, tried and true. I’d love to be in the ring with her as well.’
