On the latest edition of his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt Hardy spoke about AEW’s creative structure and compared it to when he first joined the promotion. Matt also spoke about his current AEW storyline involving Ethan Page.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On how the creative process is different in AEW now compared to when he first started: “It is very interesting because when this place first started, usually you would speak to Tony. That’s how it started, especially back in the pandemic era when we were just in Jacksonville everyone was in the same area every single week for the same amount of time. Now they have started filling out the system a little bit, and they’re making things work a little more smoothly. There’s Tony here, and then there’s a couple of guys underneath him. They’re also putting in guys that are almost like writers or guys who keep track of the angles and all the stories on the show. So, it depends. You go to a different guy that’s kind of considered your guy. QT [Marshall] has done a lot of the work with myself and Ethan Page and Isiah [Kassidy], and Jeff [Hardy], so it would probably be QT that would be our starting point. QT or Sonjay [Dutt].”

On if there’s been any changes to his current storyline with Ethan Page: “No. What we have happening right now is what we decided to do after I joined him. From day one, this was our plan all the way through. So I’m pretty happy that it was able to run this course, and it didn’t get changed. It didn’t go off track, and Ethan is getting great reactions as a babyface, so I’m very happy with where it’s at.”

On a recent edition of the “DAE On Demand” podcast, Wardlow addressed the possibility of challenging MJF for the AEW World Championship.

Wardlow previously beat MJF in a singles match at AEW Double or Nothing 2022.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On if it makes sense for him to go after MJF and the AEW World Title: “You would think so, but apparently, there are a lot of whining crybabies that are ahead of me. Let’s face the facts, as long as MJF has the title, I’ll probably never be in the picture as long as he has anything to do with it. He knows, as everyone knows, I murdered him when we wrestled. I am the one guy in the company that has beat our champion. Not only beat our champion, but squashed our champion. There is another guy running around calling him the champion and I’m pretty sure I beat the brakes off him as well.”

On what aspect he could improve at in wrestling: “Politics. As long as MJF is at the top, he’s going to do everything he can to keep me at the bottom.”
