New Japan Pro Wrestling’s biggest event of the year is returning to its previous format.
The promotion announced today that Wrestle Kingdom will be a one-night event in 2023. It takes place on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome.
NJPW’s New Year Dash will make its return the day after Wrestle Kingdom 17 at Ota Ward Gymnasium in Tokyo.
The last time that there was a one-night Wrestle Kingdom event was with Wrestle Kingdom 13 in 2019. Wrestle Kingdom 14 and 15 were both two-night shows, while Wrestle Kingdom 16 was held over three nights.
