We’ve got new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in the form of Chelsea Green and Piper Niven.
As many of you know by now, Sonya Deville recently suffered a torn ACL and underwent surgery for it last Tuesday.
Over the weekend, Green took to Twitter/X to announce her “Chelsea’s Got Talent” competition in an effort to find a new partner. In a backstage segment on this week’s episode of RAW, Green was confronted by Kayden Carter and Katana Chance who said they wanted a shot at the titles when Green received a new partner.
This led to Piper Niven coming into the picture and attacking Carter and Chance. She then took one of Green’s tag title belts and declared herself the new champion alongside Chelsea.
Niven’s appearance marks the first time fans have seen her on WWE television since May. While there had been some talk of WWE bringing Nia Jax back to team with Green, it appears they are going with Piper Niven instead.
