During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on if WWE are being forced to change their plans as a result of Day 1 and Roman Reigns’ positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

Meltzer notes that Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is still the plan for the main event of WrestleMania 38 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It was also added that despite all the “twists and turns” of Day 1, with Brock Lesnar being crowned WWE Champion – the initial plans WWE had for the WWE Championship match at ‘Mania are still going ahead as of right now. However, the route WWE is taking to get to those plans has now been forcefully changed with Lesnar as champion.

Interestingly, if the match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar does go ahead as planned, it will mark the third time the contest has headlined a WrestleMania.
