As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Cody Rhodes has signed with WWE and will be appearing at WrestleMania 38. According to reports, Rhodes will be facing off against Seth Rollins at the show. So far, he hasn’t appeared on television to build the match and Seth Rollins is threatening to hold RAW hostage next week if he’s not given an opponent.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the current storyline with Rollins being unable to get on the WrestleMania card is listed internally in WWE as ending with the match with Rhodes.
There were reports last week that Cody Rhodes had signed his WWE contract 10-14 days ago. While some in WWE are denying that is the case, at least one person in WWE suggested that it was “silly” for them to still be downplaying it.
It remains to be seen whether WWE has Cody appear on Monday’s RAW in Pittsburgh, PA or hold off his return until WrestleMania 38 itself.
