After the one hour time limit draw between Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson that took place at “Winter Is Coming”, many fans began speculating on what was next for the AEW World Championship, but AEW President Tony Khan immediately cleared the air.
Speaking to Busted Open Radio, Khan explained that Bryan Danielson is still the top challenger for Hangman Page’s belt. He said,
“I’ll be honest – I’m excited for what’s coming next between Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson. It’s far from over. And I’ll tell you this – Bryan Danielson is still the no. 1 contender. It’s a rematch I’m very much excited to see.”
All that is left to do now is wait and see when the next match between Page and Danielson will happen. AEW Revolution on March 6, 2022 is the next pay-per-view event, but the first AEW Dynamite of the year (also Dynamite’s debut on TBS) is titled “Battle Of The Belts”, and the title will be on the line.
