Tyrus Says Ric Flair Was Wrong To Apologize For Controversial Promo

Ric Flair should never have shown any remorse for recent controversial comments, according to former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tyrus.

During a taping for AEW Rampage, Flair cut a promo that saw him invite women aged 18 and above to his hotel room without any partners.

Many took issue with the line given allegations against Flair of sexual harassment including the claims he forced women to touch his genitals on the Plane Ride From Hell.

The line did not make it to TV and Flair would later say he’s prepared to leave AEW if he’s an embarrassment to Tony Khan.

On a recent edition of Fox News, Tyrus spoke to Flair and shared his view that the Nature Boy shouldn’t be sorry. He said,

“I got a little bit of beef with you and I’m just gonna bring it up with you real quick. You put a post out where you had the temerity that maybe you shouldn’t have walked out there in AEW. Let me remind you of who you are. You have forgotten more wrestling than most of us will ever know. You are one of the last greats, when you come out and walk that isle, that a grandfather can look at his grandson, ‘I saw this guy wrestler and that is why you’re here.‘

“So don’t you ever, I don’t comment on social media much, but I believe I did and I used the F word, don’t you apologize for Ric Flair coming out, because when you come out that pop is as loud as it has ever been. I have to remind you of something – diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair and you need to remember that.”
