Update On Matt Riddle’s WWE Status, Keith Lee Skipping NXT And Going Straight To Main Roster?

The No Holds Barred Podcast has been on a roll as of late when it comes to breaking news as they also recently reported that indy darling and MMA talent, Matt Riddle has signed a contract with WWE NXT. The update of the story: PWG recently announced that Trevor Lee will be replacing Riddle in the BOLA tournament.

“Matt Riddle has signed. He pulled out of BOLA and some other independent shows. Trevor Lee is taking his place at the Battle of Los Angeles, which is September 14th. So he’ll probably make an appearance at Brooklyn/SummerSlam and if not he’s expected to start after that.”

The fact that he pulled out of BOLA is a good indication that he’ll be reporting to the performance center in Florida.

Another story broken online by Joseph Peisech, WWE has plans to possibly fast track Keith Lee straight through NXT and to the main roster similar to what they did to Kevin Owens.

“He did appear at the last NXT and all that. He did appear at some TV tapings but look for him. They’re going to fast track him through NXT. I wouldn’t be surprised if come November or December he’s on the main roster already.”

Whatever happens, I just hope that WWE is able to book Keith Lee in a way that will show off his athleticism and allow him to use his unique offense in the ring.
